Ross Lipstein, President & Treasurer

In addition to his work with the GRO Fund, Ross Lescano Lipstein serves as the Director of Summer Programming for Summit Public Schools in the Bay Area, CA. Ross previously focused on education and agricultural development in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, working with the Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Agency, Pearson Affordable Learning Fund, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Knife Capital.

Ross has a Masters in Business Administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Masters in Public Administration in International Development from Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Leigh Hafrey, Board Member

Since 1995, Leigh Hafrey has served as Senior Lecturer in Behavioral and Policy Sciences at the MIT Sloan School of Management, teaching communication, ethics, sustainability, and leadership in the MBA and other graduate programs in the U.S. and abroad.  He taught at Harvard Business School, 1989-1993, and served as co-Master of Mather House, one of the undergraduate residences in Harvard College, 1993-2010.

Hafrey is a senior moderator for the Aspen Institute, an international educational and policy studies organization focused on values-driven leadership.  A former staff editor at The New York Times Book Review, he has published translations from French and German and reporting, essays, reviews, and interviews in The New York Times and other periodicals, as well as blogs and cases for MIT Sloan and various on-line media.

He is the author of two books on values and leadership, The Story of Success:  Five Steps to Mastering Ethics in Business (2005) and War Stories:  Fighting, Competing, Imagining, Leading (2016).
